Vitamin C Serum

Details:  Dr. Song Vitamin C Serum contains 20% Vitamin C.  It includes Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid, and Aloe Vera.  It has a smooth velvet finish on the skin that many other Vitamin C Serums cannot replicate.  It comes with a 365 day money back guarantee.  Dr. Song products are made in the USA and are FDA compliant. You can purchase yours here on Amazon.

Review:  I've said before that I usually have a reaction to any kind of Hyaluronic acid.  So why did I request another product that has this in it.  Well, to tell you the truth, the "Smooth Velvet Finish on the Skin" was what caught my attention.  I'm also partial to blue containers.

Dr. Song Vitamin C Serum is just that. A Serum.  Not water. Not liquid that is similar to water. A Serum.  I'm not sure if it is due to the fact that aloe vera gel is the number 2 ingredient on the list, or if the way this was made makes the difference.  In any case, I like the serum.  I can place a few drops in the palm of my hand without it running all over.  When I apply it to my face I feel like I have more control rather than trying to clean up the drips from other Vitamin C Serums.  And like any other Vitamin C Serum it is not greasy.

Now, for the Hyaluronic Acid reaction.  Yes, my face broke out, again.  This time only on my chin, and this time it only lasted for about 5 days.  So, is my face adjusting to the hyaluronic acid, or is Dr. Song's product actually better?  I've gone back to trying another company's version of Vitamin C Serum with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera Gel, and my face broke out worse.  Believe me, I went back to Dr. Song's Vitamin C Serum after a few days.

Benefits of Vitamin C Serum include:

  • encouraging collagen production
  • exfoliates and cleanses
  • helps remove fine lines and wrinkles
  • great for those with acne or pimples
  • moisturizes and softens the skin

Routine for using the product:

  • Wash and cleanse skin
  • Tone Skin
  • Apply Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid
  • Apply moisturizer
I really like this product. My face feels smoother and softer.  My wrinkles are fading away. I feel like my face gets really clean, especially since I workout in my yard a lot, and can get real dirty doing that.  This is truly a serum in my opinion.

Vitamin C Serum

Pros:  I really like the thickness of this serum.  My face only broke out for about 5 days due to Hyaluronic acid instead of clearing up due to halting the use of the product.

Cons: Nothing.

My Rating: A Big Thumbs Up!

Vitamin C Serum with Vitamin E & Hyaluronic Acid

Details:  Joyal Beauty Super Brightening Vitamin C Serum is enriched with Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid, and a lot of other great ingredients.  Some of those include Aloe, Witch Hazel, Glycerin, and Jojoba Oil.  After washing and toning your face, apply a small amount of serum to your face morning and night.  Follow up with moisturizer.

This Vitamin C Serum is a powerful concentrated delivery system for the highest form of active, stabilized, bio-available Vitamin C boosting collagen production and increasing elasticity and firmness. It is also enriched with vitamin E, ferulic acid, pure vegan hyaluronic acid and many anti-aging formulas to plump skin cells and restore cells. You will see positive results after 4 weeks of continual use.  Your skin will glow, sun spots will fade, wrinkles will be reduced, your skin will be more moisturized.

Review:  I have tried several different types of Vitamin C Serums.  Some with and without the hyaluronic acid.  I must be allergic to that.  Almost every product I use with hyaluronic acid in it, my face breaks out big time.  Despite that, I do know that the other ingredients in Joyal Beauty's serum are great for skin.  This is a newly launched product on Amazon.

#PROVCS1
This is the first Vitamin C Serum that came with a spray pump, rather than a dropper.  I personally do not like the spray pump.  I can't spray it directly on my face without it going everywhere I don't want it.  I do spray it into my palm and then rub on with my fingers.  I also noticed that this serum is thinner than the other serums I have used, and I just figured it was to get it to go through that pump spray without clogging it up.

Despite those cons, I find I don't like to use this on my face, but applying it to my hands and feet where I have spider veins has been helpful. I have noticed a reduction in the sun spots on my hands. I also don't need to apply lotion as often to my hands.

Pros:  If you prefer a spray pump vs. a dropper this one is for you.  Has other added ingredients that benefit skin.

Cons:  I personally do not like the spray pump.  Don't like how thin the product is, compared to other Vitamin C serums I've tried in the past.

My Rating:  Thumbs Up & Down.  Biggest complaint is the spray pump.

DIY Night Cleansers & Creams

Trying to find that perfect night cream or cleanser and don't want to pay a fortune for it?  Well here are some ideas you can try.

Night Cleanser:

Add 2 parts Castor oil and 8 parts Sunflower oil.  Blend well.  Use this to clean the makeup off your face and eyes.

I personally add to the above, 1 part coconut oil, 1 part clear aloe vera gel, 1 part vegetable glycerin.

After I cleanse my face, I use a DIY astringent listed below.  Then I take a dime size of the the above Night Cleanser and massage it on my face.  Afterwards, I get my fingers wet and massage again.  Glycerin reacts with water and allows the moisture, along with the sunflower oil, to seep into your deeper layers of skin better, providing deeper moisturizing.

Astringent:

Mix 1 part apple cider vinegar with 1 part water.  Apply with cotton balls until all makeup residue is gone.

Night Cream:

If you've already purchased a night time moisturizer that you don't like, don't throw it out just yet.  Take your inferior night cream (4 oz.), and add 1/8 teaspoon of liquid Vitamin C and the contents of a 100-IU Vitamin E capsule.  Blend well.  You now have a more nourishing night cream that will do more for your face than before.
