An Alphabet Trip to the Limerick Zoo!
This is a two part book set. One is the actual story book with colored images, and the whole 26 letter alphabet written up with limerick poems. Each poem and illustration is hand crafted, colored and created by the artists and writers whose list is provided at the beginning of each book.
The second book is a coloring book, exactly the same as the first book but with black and white pages to be colored by printing them, or if you have a Kindle or Nook or Ipad that has the coloring ability then that would work too. These come in different versions but the newest and most fun is the Kindle version.
The authors created this specifically for home schooling, and home school resources, children's poetry, and teachers resources. When you buy the story book you do get the coloring book for free.Your child will enjoy 26 full color illustrations, 26 charming limerick poems, and learn interesting facts about 26 animals. They have a youtube video as well that gives you a preview about their product.
Information: This has been a very interesting review to have been able to do. I was originally very excited to review something I could use with my school aged children. I love how colorful and fun the illustrations are. They are bright and fun. I was wondering if anyone had published something educational for children to be used on the Kindle, Nook, and Ipad. So it was cool to find something. My cons are though, that the limericks themselves are not for children under specific ages. Some of the stuff mentioned in the limericks would really upset tender children. For example children have to wonder if an Ant eater would "dine" on them, or the colored image of the Jackal is very angry and mean looking. This is a personal thing, so please I highly suggest that you watch the youtube video, and find out if what you see is something your child would love. The second favorite thing that I do like about this is that the limericks do teach positive lessons about the environment and how we as people can better the world we live in.
You can get your copy of the book, plus a coloring book to go with it here.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
