My Review:  For years I took grape seed supplements until they became hard to locate at local stores. I took them to help increase circulation and to strengthen my veins.  I noticed a great deterioration once I stopped taking grape seed supplements.  I've tried various products over those years searching for the perfect solution until I could again find a quality grape seed product.

When I had the opportunity to try NeoCell's Pomegranate From The Seed, I was so excited to read that this was even better than grape seed.

I've been taking this now for about 3 1/2 weeks.  During this time, I have seen a significant improvement first of all in experiencing a kidney and liver flush.  For those suffering from UTI's, this is a proven product to help relieve those symptoms.  I use to just drink straight 100% cranberry juice. No more, my first line of defense will now be Pomegranate.  I felt like after a week, my liver and kidneys were functioning a whole lot better.  For those who have fatty livers and type II diabetes, you may experience significant improvement by taking Pomegranate.  

Next thing I noticed was the improvement of my hands and feet which are always cold.  My husband has said he didn't know how I could have such cold hands and feet living in a hot humid climate, but I sure did.  I know it's winter time, but my hands and feet are starting to finally warm up from the inside out.  Basically, they are starting to have improved circulation.

My husband just had skin cancer surgery and he's been taking Pomegranate from NeoCell to help heal from this, but to also avoid further incidents.  Pomegranate helps increases the bands of collagen, fibroblasts and is significantly helping his surgery site to heal quickly and correctly.  He was right at the limit of needing a skin graft, but will not need it as the Pomegranate has significantly helped his surgery sight to heal properly.

I should have had this review posted sooner, but I wanted to make sure that my husband could verify with his dermatologist that by taking pomegranate seed extract, helped his surgery site to improve as quickly and as completely as it had.  They concurred this was a beneficial product to aid in his speedy recovery and healing.  He will not need a skin graft.

Just as I was about to publish this post my husband asked me about how I felt so far about taking Pomegranate.  I basically told him what's in this post.  He said, well, I'm impressed at how quickly my surgery site has healed, but more impressed at the kidney/liver function improvement he noticed. He's very impressed and wants to make sure this is a part of our daily supplement routine.

Overall, I am very excited I have been able to experience the positive effects of taking pomegranate, and so glad to learn that even though grape seed supplements are easier to come by now, I will just skip those from now on, and just take the pomegranate.  

Pros:  A supplement that truly works, and noticed the effects the first few hours after taking the first capsule.  Have seen and felt positive results in the 2 1/2 weeks I've been taking this.  My husband has been very excited about the healing process of his skin cancer surgery site.

Cons:  None.

30 Day Tabata Workout Challenge

The workout is a 4 minute, high intensity workout where you exercise intensely for 20 seconds, rest for 10 seconds, then back on for 20 seconds.  Repeat this routine for 8 times to equal your 4 minute workout.  If you have time to do more, there are different movements you can do.  Do each one for 8 times (4 minutes).
1. Flat up jumps (legs apart) - lay on ground with arms ready to push you up, then push your self up to a standing position, then jump with feet apart. (My cub scouts call this the burpee.)  It's like getting on the ground from a standing position, do a push-up, stand-up and jump.
2. Mountain climbers - run in place with both hands on ground.
3. Squats - bend down with arms out in front knees over toes, feet flat on ground
4. Push-ups ( easy or hard) easy = knees and hands,  hard = feet and hands
5. Sit-ups ( easy or hard)  easy = arms over head crunch up to touch knees, hard = arms over head crunch up to touch feet.
Oh....it's really important to stretch out before and after doing these exercises.  You don't want to be pulling any muscles.
My husband has been doing these for the past two weeks.  He comes back just a huffing and a puffing. He certainly reaches his target heart rate doing this.  The first week he could barely do two minutes. He's not out of shape, so we thought.  But this exercise routine is harder than it sounds.
Most of these exercises certainly target cellulite.  Yeah!  No way can I NOT do these all month long. That and the skin brushing, I had better banish that cottage cheesey stuff for good.
Give this a trial run.  Let me know how well you do.

HINTS & TIPS: By increasing my workouts to 10 minutes and doing 30 seconds high intensity and 30 seconds slower, I've lost 3 pounds that stayed off in 2 weeks.  After 30 days, I had dropped 6 pounds, and several inches off calves, thighs, hips and waist.  Even with diet going berserk with the holidays, my weight came back off in just like 3 days as opposed to 3 weeks.  I'm sold on this and do it 5 days a week.

Rebounding Benefits (Mini-Tramp Exercise)

Rebounding, or jumping on a mini-tramp for exercise provides many benefits.  Throughout the years, I've add various issues regarding a sluggish lymphatic system.  Doing my own personal research, I learned how rebounding is one of those great exercises to help with this.  Not only that, but rebounding helps considerably in increasing circulation.

I've been doing a lot of research lately to find the best all round exercise.  As a little child, I remember my mom telling me that I caught everything that came along and was always sick. Even immunizations didn't always help me.  I made it my goal to live and eat a healthier life style when I grew up.  To some extent I was successful.  Now I'm starting to fall back down again, and with my research have discovered that my lymphatic system may never have been what it should have been.  That is your immune system.

I have discovered that there are 2 really great exercises to help your lymphatic system; rebounding and jump roping.  I don't have the space to jump rope indoors, and wanted something that I could do either inside or outside.  Rebounding is my answer.  You can find articles that describe various types of rebounders.  You'll need to decide what works best for you.  Currently I am using a mini-tramp rebounder.  There are pros and cons to it.  The one that tops my pro list is the price and convenience of obtaining one.  It meets all the requirements to provide me with a great exercise experience.

My routine includes 2 minutes of warm ups where I keep my feet firm on the mat and just bump around, not jump.  Then I follow with 50 jumping jacks, easing my way upwards by 25 each week.  Then I jog in place, so that the total time of all of this is just under 10 minutes.  Then when my husband comes down to do his Tabata Exercising (mountain climbers), I will follow the pattern and jog as fast as I can for 20 seconds, rest jog for 10, and back on again for 4 minutes.  Then I do 3-5 minutes of cool down jogging.  This is my routine for the first week.

The 2nd week I'll do that and later will be going back down for another 10 minute jogging exercise.  The 3rd and 4th week I'll add an additional 10 minute jogging routine each week.  So by the 4th week I'll actually be jumping approximately 50 minutes or so.  There are several youtube video workouts to choose from.

It's like a nice thick facial cream.  Feels soft and silky when applying.  You can leave it on from 10-30 minutes or so.  You might experience a tingling sensation. I did not.  Then rinse off and pat dry. That's it.  My hands and face were more full looking, not fat, not plump, but no visible wrinkling on my hands, and the lines around my mouth and eyes were filled in so that it didn't look like I had many fine lines at all.  It was wonderful.  And all from just the very first application.

30 Day Skin Brushing Challenge

My New 30 Day Challenge ~ Skin Brushing!
First of all, I have inherited my mom's spider veins that collect in my ankles, and I also have poor circulation in my feet and hands. I am considered underweight by doctors, but personally feel like I would be more comfortable if I could lose 10-15 pounds. This would really put me underweight on the medical charts. However, I feel this may help with my circulation and vein issues.
About 4-5 years ago, I started a regular routine of brushing my skin morning and night. I purchased a natural bristle brush with a long handle. I start brushing my feet and move upwards towards my heart, continuously brushing in a circular fashion. It used to take me about 5 minutes to brush my entire body. This may not be long enough for some, but it was sufficient for me.

The first thing I noticed right off, and it took about 3 days, was that the circulation in my feet started to improve. After I had been doing this for about 30 days, I no longer had the extremely dry skin I was prone to. I no longer had circulation problems with my feet or hands. My veins were less noticeable, and I liked how alive my skin felt...not dull, not dead like. Don't know how else to explain it.
From that point on, it's been one thing after another, and obviously I let this quick 5 minute routine twice daily slip by me. Now, years later, I realize I need to make this a priority again.
In the meantime, I am increasing my intake of Vit. E to 800 I.U. daily. I also take 2500 mg of Vit. C, I take 1 Bilberry capsule, all to help improve the veins. Without going online I have yet to purchase Horse Chestnut or GrapeSeed Capsules. These also give vein support. I'm seriously considering compression socks as well.  Other supplements I found were very useful are Ginko Biloba, Stinging Nettle, and Ashwagandha.
My brother also has poor circulation in his legs due to back issues. I mentioned the brushing to him. He said it did help.
Another benefit for some is that by brushing, you are stimulating your lymph glands. By doing so, you help eliminate cellulite. It opens up your pores and can therefore more efficiently eliminate toxins built up in your system.

It's best to shower after brushing to wash away all those dead skin cells. When I'm in a really hurry, I just do a wipe down with a wet wash cloth. One other important factor, DO NOT SKIN BRUSH AFTER SHAVING. That will wreak havoc on your skin. If your skin is red, you are applying too much pressure. A nice gentle circular motion is all that is needed.  Another thing is to rub an infusion of lemon essential oil with fractionated coconut oil after brushing.  You don't need very much, and this makes body feel smooth and soft.
The 30 Day re-challenge of brushing my skin is almost to an end.  How did I do this time??? Great. What benefits did I notice?  The biggest one is that the cellulite is vanishing.  Slowly, but still disappearing none the less.  That's scary stuff.  Never experienced it before, so trying real hard to get rid of it forever.  Another benefit that I noticed is that my skin is smoother.  Even my husband commented on how soft and smooth it feels.  He likes that.  I was hoping for better circulation in my feet.  I had experienced that the very first time I started brushing.  Not going to give up however, just because 30 days are almost finished.  Going to keep this one going.
