Hope Springs

Have you ever prayed" Lord, if there is any way can you please close this door?"

Details:  When a small town Pastor travels to the other side of the grave the whole community comes together, especially 2 of the most prominent families.  As the Saunders family comes together for their Pastor's funeral, a funny chain of events occurs causing a dark secret to surface, awkward meetings take place between old lovers, and a family hurt by decades of forgotten lies tries to overcome that hurt, but will it be in enough time before another death tolls this family and their wonderful friends.  Can God, love, and mercy really help bring down pride and build up humility, love and grace.  Will love's once lost be reunited and rekindled?  Can trusting people as people instead of seeing colored skins really heal a broken community?

My Review: What a great review through Booksneeze.  I loved that this book is set in my home state of North Carolina.  I love that its a Christian book, and that despite being very religious, Christians do have the same problems as other people in the world, and that they need the same love and trust from their family and friends as any human being needs.  Reading this book was hard because my emotions were very high during the whole book.  I cried at many spots, to the embarrassment of myself as it was while in the presence of my husband.  This book is truly amazing!  I can't say enough good about it.  I highly suggest this book to anyone wanting a good read, a great pick me up, and an amazing story of Christianity, love, trust, and community unity.  Something I wish our own community had more of.

Pros: awesome plot, great characterization, good creativity, very realistic with lots of romance, lesson learning, and soul searching moments.

Cons: none
