Details: A group of friends witness a train wreck, find out a secret, and work together to keep that secret from their parents, and authorities.  Time is set in the late 1970's.  Director is J. J. Abrams.  Starring: Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler, and Amanda Michalka.  Rated PG-13, for intense sci-fi action and violence, language, and some drug usage.   

Information: When we rented this from the Red Box, we didn't know what it was about, only that a close friend said it was good.  The young actors were amazing with their characters.  The filming was really good, and a very well played out plot.  This plot is awesome, usually movies run off the same type of plot theme, but this one was a refreshingly new plot theme, and a very welcomed new one.  Total surprise in what happens, what doesn't, and how you learn the truth.  I do have one con to everything, I didn't like feeling like this movie was going to be a horror movie until the truth came out.  Due to that fact, I would never buy it, and never watch it again.  However, I did like it after it was all over.  This unfortunately is just a one time watcher, and so can't recommend it.                                                              My Rating
